The University recognizes the importance of contributing to the development of society and the local community. Through partnerships, outreach activities, and public engagement initiatives, Sumgayit State University works to promote social inclusion, environmental awareness, and community development.
Disability Support Services
The Inclusive Education Center was established through an EU project for integrating persons with physical disabilities into higher education. Its regulations were approved on December 21, 2022 by the Scientific Council.

Psychological Service
The psychological service has been operating at SDU since 2018. It identifies students' intellectual capabilities, personality-oriented potentials, natural abilities, interests and tendencies. It provides diagnostic examination of students' psychic development, ensures individual approach in teaching, and supports students' self-determination.
Services Provided

Medical Service
SDU operates a free medical station for staff and students, providing primary emergency medical aid and preventive healthcare services.

Sports Club
The Sports Club has been operating at SDU since October 2, 2015, promoting physical health and organizing effective leisure time across various sports disciplines.

Eco Club
The Eco Club was created in 2022 by SDU's Ecology Department to increase ecological knowledge among students, conduct ecological restoration, and involve students in ecological projects.
Student Youth Organization
The Student Youth Organization of SSU drew up its own charter and started its activity in 2005. It operates on a voluntary basis to strengthen student engagement and foster connections across faculties.

"Sema" Dance Ensemble
Won prizes at "Student Spring" All-Republic Festivals (2016–2018) and Heydar Aliyev birthday competitions. Artistic director: Gulnare Abasova.
"Renaissance" Student Theater
Operating since 2000, performs works of classic and contemporary Azerbaijani literature.
Decorative-Applied Arts Circle
Creative arts workshops and exhibitions for students.
"Student" Music Ensemble
Operating since 2000, performing at university events and festivals.
University Choir
Led by Zaur Seferov and Sefaq Eliyeva. Regularly participates in "Student Spring" festival. Zaur Seferov composed the music for SDU's anthem.
KVN "Subaylar" Comedy Team
Created in 2018, won 1st place in Azerbaijan Regional KVN TV League finals (2018–2019). Artistic director: Mecid Huseynov.
Painting & Decorative Arts Circle
Led by artist Subhane Balcanli, focusing on fine arts and decorative craftsmanship.
